ONE PIECE OF PAPER IS ALL YOU NEED
Goodwin Graphics’ DocuMailer/PS is the ideal solution to process documents for mailing. The DocuMailer/PS is a fast, reliable and secure mailing product.
DocuMailer/PS is a single ply form with pressure sensitive glue and perforations along the form’s edges. The document folds onto itself and creates an outgoing mail piece without using an envelope. Opening the document is simple: just tear off the perforated edges! DocuMailer/PS is perfect for checks, invoices, utility bills, grade reports, pin numbers, marketing pieces, shipping labels – virtually any form your customer mails can become a DocuMailer/PS product!
DocuMailer/PS involves two steps to process forms for mailing. First forms with pressure-sensitive glue are printed in a laser, inkjet or impact printer. Second, the forms are placed in an auto-seal machine to be folded and sealed creating a one-piece mailer. Benefits include:
From payroll to invoicing in a small office environment to processing documents in a full-fledged mail house, DocuMailer/PS allows you to process in less than half the time of a folding and stuffing envelopes and in about a third time less than a folder-inverter process. Goodwin Graphics’ DocuMailer/PS can be produced to run in any fold and seal machine available to your customer.
These Pressure Seal Mailers are intended for use in Laser Printers but can be used in Impact Printers.
Pressure Seal Mailers are unique in their construction and special care should be taken to ensure proper performance. Following the guidelines below will help the performance of these forms.
The forms should be stored in a climate controlled, dust-free environment.
The ideal storage temperature is 72 degree F (22.22 C), with a relative humidity of 50%. Temperature extremes may affect the forms performance.
The shelf life of these forms is twelve months. A first in/first out inventory system is recommended. Proper stacking of cartons is important to minimize any damage due to excessive moisture.
Usage
Forms should be kept in their moisture-control wrapping until 48 hours before use. Forms should be stored completely unwrapped in teh same environment as the printer for at least 48 hours before use to minimize curl and maximize performance.
Printer Loading
Fan forms on all four sides before loading to minimize double feeding of forms
Sealing
After printing forms should be stacked curl size down and kept so stacked for at least one hour, but no more than 24 hours, before pressure sealing. This will allow any user oils on the sheet to evaporate. The forms should remain in the same climate controlled environment as the pressure seal equipment.
The pressure between the rollers in the pressure seal equipment should be set to the paper weights, ( 24# , 28#, 29#, etc. ) and the fold of the form (form folded once “V” fold or twice “C” or “Z” fold). This will ensure proper bonding of the adhesive.
Re-Storage
Any unused forms should be re-wrapped in some type of plastic bag or wrap. Forms left unsealed for more than one week will begin to lose their aggressive sealing characteristics and may no longer seal properly
